NASP Delegate Letter September 2014

It is September in Iowa and it is always hot when school starts. Nevertheless, I hope your school year is going well. I would like to share some resources available to NASP members that will help you in your work.

The September issue of Communiqué is now available online! Visit www.nasponline.org/publications/cq/index.aspx?vol=43&issue=1 to learn about school-based service delivery to homeless students, why evidence-based interventions are necessary but not sufficient, and more.

Think ahead for School Psychology Awareness Week, November 10–14. Our theme, “Strive. Grow. Thrive!” offers an opportunity to promote the many ways that students can learn and grow, and how school psychologists can help. Download the poster image, adaptable resources, letterhead, notecard, activity suggestions, and resources at www.nasponline.org/communications/spaw/index.aspx.

There is still time to save on the new edition of Best Practices in School Psychology at www.nasponline.org/publications/booksproducts/N1405.aspx. The latest edition outlines the most current, relevant, and valued information necessary for competent delivery of school psychological services. You can choose to purchase individual volumes or save by buying the four volume set. Members save $110 off the list price on the four volume set. Hurry—This offer only extends through September 17!
