Alan is the Director of the Center for Violence Prevention and Mentors in Violence Prevention Leadership Institute at the University of Northern Iowa. Involved in education as a mathematics teacher, athletic coach, school counselor, and school administrator before coming to UNI, Dr. Heisterkamp will share his Why and Advocacy Journey empowering the students, educators, schools, and communities we serve.
