NASP Delegate Letter April 2014

This year is flying by; I can’t believe it’s already April. We’ve got a lot cooking this month.

Your NASP membership will be expiring on June 30. I hope you’ll take a few moments to reflect on what your membership means to you and then visit www.nasponline.org/membership and extend your benefits through June 30, 2015. Renew online by June 30, 2014, and you can pay your dues in three installments.

Hopefully you have seen NASP’s announcement of the new logo! The updated look better reflects school psychologists’ unique expertise in both psychology and learning, as well as NASP’s vision that “all children and youth thrive in school, at home, and throughout life.” Learn more about the new logo and the planned transition at www.nasponline.org/communications/new-logo.aspx.

NASP and George Washington University are co-hosting our annual Public Policy Institute, July 16-18 (3-Day Basic Training for NASP-Approved CPD) or July 16-18 and 21-22 (5-Day advanced training for NASP-Approved CPD or GW Credit), in Washington, DC. The theme for this year’s PPI is “Supporting Student Resilience in the Family, School, and Community: Policy and Practice Directions for the Nation,” and will focus on professional and legislative advocacy. Find more information and register at www.nasponline.org/advocacy/ppi/2014/index.aspx.
